Chefs Gallery
Chef's Gallery is a modern Chinese restaurant with innovative dishes and lots of flavour. You will also see some fusion with pan-asian influences.
It was so hard to pick from the menu, so many interesting dishes to try! This is why I recommend going with a group of 3-4 so you can try more dishes. It was just my boyfriend and I, so we had to squeeze in 5 dishes!
They seem to change their menu pretty regularly but some dishes remain the same. I dined during the Summer 2019/2020 menu.
The Peking duck Roti was definitely the winner in my eyes. It was a fusion of the Peking duck that I love and wrapped in delicious buttery roti. This was bursting with flavour and I would definitely order this dish again.
I wanted to try to burgers because it seemed like the must-have dish. It was a little different than the photos, but it was still great to eat. The buns were like fried bao buns and the meat was juicy - it is a messy to eat (you were warned).
The wonton noodles were so nice. I loved the spicy flavour and I noticed that the sauce had a bit of sweetness to it. Wontons were cooked perfectly, the noodles were lovely and chewy.
The black pepper wagyu was very tender and delicious. Very simple but effective dish. It was my boyfriend's favourite dish.
The truffle creme brulee was something we ordered out of interest, it was yummy. I've never had anything like it before. The truffle added an earthy flavour and mixed well with the sweet, rich flavour of creme brulee.
Overall, we really enjoyed our dining experience, they made a great first impression and we are excited to visit again. We visited the original branch in Regent Place (near Town Hall) but they have other stores in Sydney: Macquarie and Paramatta. Check out their website!
